2018 Water Awareness Video Contest

Solano County high school and middle school students and their teachers can win up to $1,500 in cash in Solano County Water Agency’s eighth annual video contest.

Public Service Announcement videos must focus on the selected 2018 theme: Imagine a Day Without Water

Judging will be based on entertainment value and originality, videography, style and organization, audio/sound, and movie content and accuracy, including whether the video incorporates the 2018 theme.

Special Prizes for Sponsoring Teachers

The three teachers that submit the most videos will each receive a $200 Amazon gift card (minimum eligibility is 10 videos per teacher)

Video Contest Timeline

  • January 1 through Wednesday, April 11, 2018—Students may submit videos (remember to include a completed Entry Form)

  • April 2, 2018—Intent to Participate Forms due

  • April 11, 2018 at 5 p.m. —deadline to receive entries

  • April 13-30, 2018—Judging by water efficiency experts and community leaders

  • May 3, 2018—Winners will be announced on www.solanosaveswater.org

  • May 2018 (Water Awareness Month)—Winners will be presented with cash prizes during a special presentation at their school
